On Friday, June 14^th, 2019, His Holiness Aram I received a group of lecturers and PhD students coming from various universities in Germany. The aim of the visit was to listen to His Holiness’ lecture on the relationship between religion and politics.

In his lecture, the Catholicos focused on the evlution of monotheism in the orient and the Occident, compared the Muslim and Christian religions, their self-understanding, and talked about the involvement of both religions in politics stating the positive and negative aspects of the involvement.

His Holiness Aram I underlined the importance of the role of the religion in keeping the moral values and its role as a mediator and advocate of truth, justice and peace.

The lecture was concluded with an Q and A session.
