22 September 2014. His Holiness Aram I has left for a ten-day pastoral visit to Greece, in response to the invitation of the Prelate, Archbishop Khoren Toghramadjian, and the Church Council.
During his stay the Catholicos will visit the diocesan churches in the country, meet with the community and take part in special celebrations. He will also meet Greek government officials, lecture at Athens University and meet with the Ecumenical Patriarch, His All Holiness Bartholomew, in Thessaloniki.
The Ecumenical Officer of the Catholicosate, Very Revd. Housig Mardiross, and staff bearer priest, Sempad Saboundjian, are accompanying His Holiness Aram I.
