A meeting was held between His Holiness Catholicos Aram I and His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphram II of the Syriac Orthodox Church, on Friday, January 10th, 2025, at the Catholicosate of Cilicia in Antelias.
The primary focus of the meeting was the recent situation in Syria and how it is affecting the Christian communities. They emphasized the importance of collaboration and the need to clarify shared perspectives. They also exchanged thoughts regarding the events planned to commemorate the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council at Nicaea.
In attendance alongside His Holiness Aram I were HE Arch. Nareg Alemezian, HE Arch. Shahan Sarkissian, and V. Rev. Fr. Sarkis Aprahamian.
