On January 6 and 7, 2025, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I welcomed delegations from both the Maronite Patriarch of Rai and the Lebanese Shia community, respectively, as he continued to receive New Year and Christmas congratulations from distinguished figures.
The discussion with the Maronite delegation, headed by Archbishop Paul Sayyah, primarily centered on the importance of revitalizing cooperation between communities, particularly in strengthening ecumenical relations. On the other hand, the meeting with the Shia delegation focused on issues related to Christian-Muslim cooperation.
