Following a week of fasting period leading up to the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the Pilgrimage Day of the St. Mary Monastery, the feast of the Assumption was celebrated by a Divine Liturgy on Sunday, August 18th, 2024. His Holiness Catholicos Aram I presided over the Liturgy at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Antelias and St. Mary Chapel in Bikfaya.
In Antelias, the Liturgy was celebrated by H.E. Arch. Shahan Sarkissian, who also delivered a sermon and conducted the Blessing of the Grapes Ceremony.
