On Sunday 8 December 2013, following the Holy Liturgy, His Holiness Aram I presided over a Requiem Service at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Antelias in memory of the victims of the Earthquake in Spitak, Armenia.

Catholicos Aram I had also asked Prelates of all the Dioceses of the Holy See of Cilicia to hold Requiem Services on that Sunday to remember the victims of the earthquake that shook the Armenian Nation 25 years ago.
