HIS HOLINESS ARAM I HONORS REV. FR. MESROB KERKEZIAN FOR HIS SERVICE

His Holiness Aram I presented Rev. Fr. Mesrob Kerkezian with a letter of blessing to honor the priest’s distinguished life-time of service to the Armenian Church. The event was held on Friday, October 8th, 2021, at St. Mary Monastery in Bikfaya, following the Eve of the Feast of Holy Translators service.

 

In the opening remarks, V. Rev. Fr. Barouyr Shernezian, Dean of the Seminary, presented the biography of the honoree: Fr. Mesrob has graduated the Armenian Theological Seminary in 1967, and since then, has served as a choirmaster, as well as a teacher in the Seminary and in several Armenian schools, in Lebanon and Cyprus.  

 

Subsequently, in his pontifical address, His Holiness Aram I recounted Fr. Mesrob’s days as a student and shed light on his loyalty to the Holy See of Cilicia and the Seminary, which was reflected through his priesthood, he said.

 

Finally, the letter of blessing presented to him was read by V. Rev. Fr. Kevork Karageozian in front of friends and family of the reverend priest, and the event was concluded by “Cilicia” anthem and His Holiness’ blessing.
