The Khatchig Babikian Fund Committee held their meeting on September 14th, in Bikfaya, presided by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I. The meeting was chaired Yervant Pamboukian. Also present were Shahan Kandaharian, Giro Manoyan (through video conference), and Khatchig Dedeyan.
His Holiness commended the book presentation of “100th Anniversary of the Republic of Armenia: Conference Materials (Antelias, 21-23 March 2018), which was held on May 18th, in Yerevan. Consequently, the meeting discussed their forthcoming plans and projects, including accepting researches on the Armenian cause in English, Arabic and Armenian for publication.
Given that the Catholicos has declared 2021 the year of Artsakh, the committee considered the possibilities of organizing a conference dedicated to Artsakh in February 2022, on the 34th anniversary of Artsakh movement, which had started in early 1988 and called for the reunification of the Nagorno Karabakh Autonomous Oblast (NKAO) with Armenia.
