On Saturday, June 12th, 2021, His Holiness Aram I received Zaven Khanjian, Executive Director of the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMMA), accompanied by Sona Khanjian, Rev. Megerdich Karageozian, President of the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East, and Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian, President of the Haigazian University.
The discussions during the meeting included matters pertaining to the Armenian communities in Armenia, Artsakh, the USA, Lebanon and Syria. His Holiness commended the commitment of the AMMA to the welfare of said communities.
They also shed light on the cooperation between the two institutions, while Mr. Khanjian offered the AMMA’s financial support to the higher education of Cilician brothers, as well as pledged to contribute to the renovation process of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Church in Deir Zor, Syria.
