On Thursday, April 29^th, 2021, His Holiness Aram I received the Norwegian Ambassador to Lebanon HE Martin Yttervik, accompanied by representatives of Norwegian state and church humanitarian organizations.

This gathering was organized as a follow-up to a meeting that had recently convened between His Holiness and the Ambassador, and aimed at discussing the possibilities of assisting humanitarian projects in the Armenian community. Ms. Seta Khedeshian, member of the Executive Council of the Catholicosate, and Ms. Nelly Vekilian, member of the Central Committee of the Armenian Relief Cross of Lebanon, were also present at the gathering.

His Holiness Aram I briefed the guests on the work of the educational, social and humanitarian organizations of the Armenian community, while Ms. Khedeshian and Ms. Vekilian answered their questions and shared an account of the humanitarian undertakings of the previous year.

At the end of the meeting, His Holiness expressed his gratitude for the constructive discussions and recommended the formation of a committee, headed by the Prelate of the Lebanon HE Archbishop Shahe Panossian, that would further the discussions and cooperation.
