On Friday, April 23rd, 2021, His Holiness Aram I received a 16-member delegation representing various establishments of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), headed by Mr. Gerard Tufenkjian, AGBU Lebanon president.
On behalf of the AGBU, Mr. Tufenkjian briefed His Holiness on the educational, cultural, social and benevolent activities of the Union, focusing on their accomplishments over the past year.
His Holiness Aram I expressed his high appreciation for the work performed by the AGBU, which has always been in service of the Armenian community, and also commended the spirit of cooperation of the Union. The members expressed their willingness to continue their mission with more devotion and dedication while remaining faithful to the strengthening of the inner unity of the community.
Following the meeting, the delegation proceeded to the Armenian Genocide Martyrs Chapel and paid their respects by laying wreaths. Ā Ā Ā
