His Holiness Aram I received HE Martin Yttervik, Norwegian Ambassador to Lebanon, accompanied by the head of political affairs of the embassy.

The meeting was an opportunity to discuss issues concerning recent conditions of Lebanon, including the formation of a new government and the economic crisis. They also touched upon the historical relationship between Norwegians and Armenians. His Holiness mentioned Fridtjof Nansen, his close ties with the Armenian people, and his advocacy for the Armenian Cause through his publications. His Holiness also recollected his visit to Norwegian Lutheran church and his lectures in the Lutheran synod and in the Nobel Peace Center.

It is noteworthy to mention that representatives from Norwegian relief foundations will visit the Catholicosate.
