On Wednesday, March 10^th, 2021, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I presided over the Mid-Lent Sunrise Service and delivered his message at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Antelias.

His Holiness would have marked the Mid-Lent at St. Nshan Cathedral of the Diocese of Lebanon, accompanied by the Prelate of Lebanon, Cilician brothers and Seminarians per the established tradition had the situation in Lebanon allowed.

The revelation of God in Christ was the essence of His Holiness’ message. He stated that God united with humans so that humans unite with God and this is the principle of the Christian faith. The Catholicos said that Christ is the descension of God and the ascension of men and this pursues one goal: the reincarnation of men, the restoration of the divine image in men, the reaffirmation of men’s God-given calling. Concluding, His Holiness emphasized that in order to be a Christian, one must put words into action and live by the example of Jesus Christ. He then underlined that the Great Lent is an opportunity to be with God and live in His presence.

The Service was sung by the Seminarians, who then joined the Cilician Brothers for breakfast.
