On Thursday, November 5th, 2020, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I received the Homenetmen Central Committee accompanied by Arthur Khandjian, Deputy Mayor of the Issy-les-Moulineaux, France.
At the initiative of the Deputy Mayor, a program to aid the Lebanese Armenians effected by the Beirut Blast with food and clothing had been implemented, and Arthur Khandjian has arrived to Lebanon to conduct necessary actions in this regard.
His Holiness commended the initiative and stressed that mutual assistance is a fundemantal value of Christianity.
The meeting also was an opportunity to discuss the worldwide activities of the Homenetmen, especially with respect to solidarity with Artsakh.
