After briefly sharing Covid related details, Fr. Hrant stated that the Armenian church and its people no longer had the luxury to focus on the virus. On the one hand the Beirut explosion of August 4th caused devastating damage to the Armenian neighborhoods, which are located right next to the port. Soon after, another distressing situation erupted with theĀ  war in Artsakh, waged by Azerbaijan and Turkey. Fr. Hrant detailed the calamitous state of the conflict, and asked all members of the commission to pray for the Armenian church, its people, its nation, its children, and its soldiers: ā€œwe are in dire need of your prayers, your fellowship, and your solidarity.ā€

Fr Zareh was asked to close the meeting with a prayer. The hymn Der Voghormya was offered in anticipation of peace in Artsakh, Armenia, and the world.
