Under the initiative of the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity, May 14th was declared a Day of Prayer and an invitation was sent to His Holiness Aram I, to take part in this initiative. The purpose was to offer prayers to God in asking divine assistance for overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic. In response to this, Catholicos Aram I wrote his heartfelt prayers in Arabic and English, which were sent to the Committee.
On the evening of May 15th, the Catholicos presided over a prayer service held in front of St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Antelias, where the Cilician brothers residing in Antelias recited the healing prayer and the prayers drafted by His Holiness, along with a selection of Armenian hymns and exhortation:“Der Voghormia” (Lord Have Mercy), “Park Kez Der Asdvadz” (Thank you God), and the Lord’s Prayer.
