On Saturday, December 7th, 2019, the directors of the three Lebanese Armenian dailies visited His Holiness Aram I. The purpose of the visit was to express their gratitude for the financial support to their newspapers that His Holiness extended during the Lebanese Crisis and the year of the Armenian Press.

Aram I commended the works of the newspapers and emphasized the necessity of continuing the mission of the Armenian press especially in preserving the Armenian identity and shaping correct public opinions. They also talked about the issues and suggestions raised during the Pan-Armenian Conference on Armenian Media and Press held several months ago, in Antelias. A Coordinating Council composed of editors from Armenia and the Armenian diaspora was formed from the conference and will convene its forthcoming meeting in February 2020, in Antelias.

-Sevag Hagopian (Editor-in-Chief of Zartonk Daily, Lebanon)
-Ani Yepremian (Editor-in-Chief of Ararad Daily, Lebanon)
-Michael Hadjian (Senior Analyst at Artsakh Public Radio)
