BISHOP MESROB SARKISSIAN IS ELECTED AS PRELATE OF THE UAE AND QATAR

The Diocesan National Representative Assembly of the Prelacy of the United Arab Emirates and Qatar held a special session on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019, and unanimously elected the Pontifical Vicar of the UAE and Qatar Bishop Mesrob Sarkissian as Prelate.

 

After the election, the Assembly informed His Holiness Aram I of the results and asked for his ratification.

 

Bishop Mesrob had been serving as Pontifical Vicar of the same Prelacy since 2013. He has served at the Catholicosate of Cilicia in Antelias through various positions, such staff holder of the Catholicos, spiritual advisors of Armenian Church University Students’ Association, Armenian Alumni Association, and the Youth Department, as well as teacher at the  Armenian Theological Seminary in Bikfaya. Under the administration of His Holiness, Bishop Mesrob has pursued his education in the Lebanese University and the Holy Spirit University (USEK).
