Upon the invitation of the Archbishop of Utrecht of the Old Catholic Church of the Netherlands, Joris Vercammen, His Holiness Aram I departed to the Netherlands.

At the airport, the Catholicos was received by the Archbishop and, together with the delegation accompanying His Holiness, they proceeded to Utrecht, where the headquarters of the Old Catholic Church is located, and a meeting was held between the two churches at the Mother Church.

Subsequently, His Holiness attended a banquet held in the Hague on his honor by the ambassadors of Armenia and Lebanon to the Netherlands. Ambassadors from the Arab countries and religious leaders were also present at the reception.

In the evening, the Catholicos and the delegation accompanying him attended a dinner held by the Archbishop of Utrecht on his honor. The dinner was also an opportunity to discuss contemporary ecumenical and theological matters.
