On Friday evening, August 16th, 2019, on the eve of the feast of Assumption of St. Mary and the St. Mary Monastery Pilgrimage Day, a pilgrimage-march took place from St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, in Antelias, to St. Mary Monastery, in Bikfaya, for the third consecutive year. More than one thousand faithful, including the Cilician brotherhood, seminarians, priests and deacons joined the march.
Arriving to the Monastery, His Holiness Aram I received the pilgrims, who gathered in front of the open-air altar, where Antasdan service (Blessing of the Four Corners of the World) was performed. Subsequently, the Catholicos delivered his pontifical speech and prayed to God for the acceptance of their pilgrimage.
In the end, the faithful received the sacrament and the pontifical blessing.
The pilgrimage concluded with a reception by the Christian Education Department.
