On Saturday evening, August 3rd, 2019, at the Armenian Theological Seminary’s auditorium in Bikfaya, Rev. Fr. Bsag Tepirjian, Rev. Fr. Hovagim Panjarjian, Rev. Fr. Zaven Najarian and Rev. Fr. Ardavazt Sharoyan defended their Doctoral theses in front of His Holiness Aram I. Their research projects focused on the analysis of correspondence
between Catholicoi of Cilicia and Pontifical Vicar of Damascus. At the end of their defenses, His Holiness Aram I commented on the work and made suggestions for improvement.
Consequently, His Holiness Aram I granted the right to wear the cross to Rev. Fr. Vahridj Gharakhanian, Rev. Fr. Vatche Balekjian and Rev. Fr. Vicken Dalkeledjian.
At the end of the evening, the Catholicos acknowledged the years of services of Archbishop Dirayr Panossian and expressed his appreciation by presenting him with a cross designed with an Armenia motif.
