EASTER CELEBRATION AT THE CATHOLICOSATE OF CILICIA

On Sunday, April 21st, 2019, His Holiness Aram I celebrated the Divine Liturgy of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, in Antelias, and “Naregatsi” children’s choir chanted the hymns, led by Rev. Fr. Zareh Najarian.

Alongside the faithful, present at the service were also ambassadors, ministers, deputies, representatives of spiritual leaders, political figures, philanthropists and members of the National Central Committee.

His Holiness commenced his Easter message quoting Romans 6:4, where Paul states that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead “so we too might walk in newness of life.” He underlined that this testifies the mission of the Christ which is to grant us a renewed life. His Holiness then shed light on the abundant life that Jesus Christ talks about and said that in Christian definition that means God-given and God-centered life full of the grace of God, and a life renewed by His resurrection.

At the end of the Holy Liturgy, His Holiness Aram I received spiritual leaders and representatives of Armenian civil society organizations.
