On Friday, April 5th, 2019, His Holiness Aram I received members of the Hamazkayin “Sos Sargsyan” State Theater Company from Armenia, who were invited to Lebanon by the Hamazkayin Lebanon to perform.
His Holiness commended the Theater Company for their significant role in the fields of Armenian culture and art through theater. Having known Sos Sargsyan, the late prominent actor and activist, His Holiness called for remaining faithful to his legacy and patriotism. During the meeting, the Catholicos also talked about challenges of keeping the Armenian culture alive and prospering in Armenia and the Diaspora alike, and stressed the vital importance of the state’s, church’s and various organizations’ support of the Armenian Culture.
