His Holiness Aram I commends the care given to the residents of the Armenian Home for the Elderly in Beirut

On Monday 22 July 2013, the director of the Home for the Elderly, Rev. Sebouh Terzian, met with His Holiness Aram I and briefed him on their work and the future plans to serve the Armenian community better. The Home is a joint project of the Armenian Orthodox and Evangelical communities, supervised by a Board of Directors. Rev. Terzian informed the Catholicos that the Board and staff are trying to expand and improve the conditions of the Home, which currently houses 100 residents.

His Holiness Aram I thanked Rev. Terzian for his report and suggested that they organize spiritual and cultural activities to connect the residents to the wider community. The Catholicos also announced that he has requested that the Karageuzian Foundation consult with the directors of Armenian schools in order to develop a special programme for children with learning difficulties.
