On September 22nd, 2018, His Holiness Aram I received Dr. Frank Otfried July, Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wurttemberg, accompanied by a delegation.

His Holiness briefly introduced to the guests the Christian presence and witness in the Middle East, talked about the ecumenical and interfaith relations and stressed the imperative for strengthening the Christian-Muslim coexistence. Aram I also underlined the main aspects of the mission of the Armenian Church.

During the meeting, they also talked about the challenges that the European Churches face and discussed the importance of joining efforts with other churches in solving prevalent contemporary concerns, which target all church communities.
