THE CILICIA MUSEUM WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART’S UPCOMING “ARMENIA” EXHIBITION

The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York City is organizing its first major exhibition on artistic and cultural achievements of the Armenian people in a global context. The Cilicia Museum of the Catholicosate of Cilicia will present a sample of it collections during the exhibition, which will open on September 22nd and continue through January 13th, 2019.

 

Other museums participating are the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Matenadaran (Ancient Manuscripts), the National History Museum in the Republic of Armenia, the Brotherhood of St. James in Jerusalem, the Mekhitarist Congregation of San Lazzaro degli Armeni in Venice, the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon, the Diocese of the Armenian Church (Eastern) in New York, the Armenian Museum of America in Boston and the Alex and Marie Manoogian Museum in Michigan.

 

Note thatĀ His Holiness Aram I will be present at the opening ceremony and will address the audience.
