On September 6th, 2018, His Holiness Aram I received the Lay and the Religious Councils of the Diocesan Council of Lebanon headed by the newly elected Primate of Lebanon H.E. Arch. Nareg Alemezian.
His Holiness welcomed the election of the new Primate, as well as the elections of above-mentioned Councils that preceded the election of the Primate. During the meeting, Aram I stressed the imperative need for renewal and reformation of the Diocese and spoke about issues pertaining the education sector, the parish, the priest formation programs, and programs that have the potential to render Armenian institutions self-sufficient. His Holiness Aram I also underlined the importance of strengthening the bond between the Church and its people.
The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss matters concerning the Prelacy of Lebanon and the Lebanese Armenian community.
