On Friday, August 17^th, 2018, His Holiness Aram I received representatives of Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, in Bikfaya. The delegation extended the good wishes of Speaker Nabih Berri on the occasion of the feast of Assumption of the Holy Mother of God to His Holiness, and invited him to the commemoration of the disappearance of Imam Musa al-Sadr.

After thanking them for the visit and the invitation, His Holiness Aram I talked about his memories of Imam Musa al-Sadr regarding his role in the Christian-Muslim dialogue. The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss the current political situation in Lebanon. In this regard, His Holiness stressed the importance of accelerating the process of the government formation in Lebanon and underlined that the Armenian community in Lebanon has always been ready to have an active assistance in this process.
