During his brief stay in Geneva, His Holiness Aram I paid a visit to the Ecumenical Institute of Bossey and met with the director of the institute Dr. Ioan Sauca, who briefed His Holiness about the new programs and projects of the Institute and discussed the possibilities of welcoming new students from the Armenian Orthodox Church of Holy See of Cilicia.  

The Ecumenical Institute, which is part of World Council of Churches (WCC), brings together people from different churches for ecumenical learning and academic study. As moderator of WCC, His Holiness has played an instrumental role in re-organizing the Institute which now closely collaborates with the Geneva University.
