On the morning of August 21, 2017, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I received two representatives of Mr Berri at St. Mary’s monastery in Bikfaya. The delegation extended an official invitation to His Holiness to attend the commemoration of the disappearance of Imam Musa al-Sadr. Dr. Jean Salmanian, representative of the Armenian community in the Christian-Muslim Dialogue committee, who was also present at the meeting, and Bishop Shahe Panossian, prelate of Lebanon, will represent the Catholicos at the commemoration.

On the same day, His Holiness congratulated General Secretary of the Middle East Council of Churches, Rev Dr Michel Jalakh, on his recent appointment as President of Antonine University. Dr. Jalakh invited His Holiness to meet and speak to the students and deliver a lecture.
