Prior to his departure to Kuwait, His Holiness Aram I conferred the right to wear the cross to the following priests, all of whom had been ordained in 2012, completed their theses, and received the title ‘Vartabed” in 2015: Rev Dajad Ashekian, who serves the parish in Fresno (USA), Rev Nishan, the director of the Youth Department of the Catholicosate of Cilicia in Antelias, Rev Barouyr, a parish priest and student in San Francisco (USA), Kev Karekin, the Assistant Dean of the Seminary of the Catholicosate and conductor of “Shenorhali” Choir, who will soon transfer to Canada where he will continue his studies and help in parish work, Rev Sempad, the Priest of the Armenian Community in Thessaloniki, and Rev Zareh, who will complete his studies in New York and then return to Antelias.
