His Holiness Aram I receives the new Spiritual Leader of the Latin Church in Lebanon

On Friday 24 March 2017 in the morning, His Holiness Aram I received Bishop Caesar Yessayan, who is of Armenian origin. Having served in Lebanon, Syria, Turkey and Italy, the bishop is familiar with Armenian history as well as the history of the relationship of the two churches.

 

Catholicos Aram I welcomed the Prelate in his new position and said urged him to become active with the Armenian community in Lebanon.

 

Archbishop Kevork Assadourian, The Vicar General of the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate in Lebanon, accompanied Bishop Caesar. The visit provided His Holiness Aram I the opportunity to talk with the bishop about relations with the Catholic Church, his latest visit to the Vatican and the situation in Lebanon.
