19 December, 2016. On Monday evening, the members of the Armenian Business Owner’s Organization met with His Holiness Aram I at the Prelacy in Tehran. Mr Hagop Hagopian, the President of the Organization, welcomed the Catholicos on behalf of its members and expressed their gratitude for his 20 years of leadership in the church and the community. Mr Ara Shahnazarian, director of “Alik” newspaper, speaking on behalf of the Organization, apprised the Catholicos of their business activities and future plans. Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian then spoke of the importance of the Organization, not only to the Iranian economy, but also to the life of the community. In his closing speech, His Holiness congratulated the Armenian Business owners for their contribution to the cultural and religious aspects of Armenian community life.
