22 NovemberĀ 2016. On Tuesday morning Dr Locher met with His Holiness Aram I in Antelias. They discussed common concerns and the impact of the joint commemorative events of the 100th Anniversary Genocide of the Armenians in 2015, held in Switzerland, and the visit of His Holiness Aram I.
The Catholicos praised the solidarity and accompaniment of the people of Switzerland with the survivors during and after the Armenian Genocide and the establishment of ARMENOFAS Swiss Armenian Foundation in accompanying the orphans and the elderly.
His Holiness and Dr Locher agreed to continue strengthening the relationship between the Catholicosate of Cilicia and the Swiss Federation of Protestant Churches and sponsoring the ARMENOFAS foundation in its response to current humanitarian issues.
