9 April 2016. On Saturday morning the 11th Grade students of the School visited the Antelias Monastery. They were accompanied by their instructor, Very Rev Housig Mardirossian. The visit was part of the exposure programme for the students studying classical Armenian, the Church fathers and Church History.
After the visit and an introduction to the Monastery, they met with His Holiness Aram I. The Catholicos welcomed them and spoke of the importance of the Armenian School, the role of Christian values in shaping attitudes towards world problems and the future role of the graduates in the community. There followed a brief discussion, which included questions regarding the history of Karabagh and its contribution to Armenian history and culture.
The meeting concluded with a short cultural programme prepared by the students.
