15 February 2016. In response to the invitation of the Roman Catholic Bishop, Diocese of Dubrovnik (Croatia), His Holiness Aram I nominated Archbishop Kegham Khatcherian to represent the Catholicosate of Cilicia at the 1700th anniversary of the Martyrdom of bishop Vlass, who is also the patron saint of the city.

Archbishop Kegham, the Cardinal representing Pope Francis, and other ecumenical guests took part in the religious services, official banquets and popular commemorative festivities. During the Church Service, the Archbishop read the message of His Holiness Aram I and offered a cross to the Bishop.

Towards the end of the commemoration, Archbishop Kegham Khatcherian was taken to the exhibition on Armenian Khatchkars (stone crosses), which was being held despite protests from Turkey.
