Upon receiving the news of the kidnapping of the Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo, Paul Yazig,i and the Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan, Yohanna Ibrahim, His Holiness Aram I contacted the two patriarchates. Since then he has been monitoring the fate of the two Metropolitans through his regular consultations with the patriarchates and the Armenian Prelacy in Aleppo.
