31 October 2015. On Saturday morning, Archbishop Paul Sayyah, Vicar General of the Maronite Patriarchate of Antioch, visited His Holiness Aram I and transmitted messages from Patriarch Rai concerning Lebanon and the Middle East.

They discussed the forthcoming meeting and agenda of the Executive Committee of the Middle East Council of Churches in Cairo. During the conversation His Holiness Aram I emphasized the urgency of a unified position by churches when responding to common concerns.
