The construction of St. Martyr’s Church began a year ago during the pastoral visit of His Holiness Aram I to the United Arab Emirates when he blessed the cornerstone. The Church will serve Armenians living in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharja.

According to the Architect, Souren Kochakian, construction will be completed in January 2014. The compound will include the church, a community centre and residences for the prelate and priests. Catholicosal Vicar, Mesrob Sarkissian, and a local committee are supervising the work.
