2 July 2015. On Thursday morning a delegation headed by the Locum Tenens Archbishop Krikor Garboyan, five archbishops and attorney Jack Choukhadarian visited His Holiness Aram I to thank him for having taken part in the funeral of late Patriarch Nesers Bedros the XIX Tamouni.

During their conversation they discussed issues related to the two Churches and the difficult situation of Armenians in Syria. After thanking the guests for their visit, His Holiness Aram I spoke of the challenges presented to the two Churches and the urgency of close cooperation.
