22 April 2015. On Wednesday morning, Minister Pharaon, accompanied by 50 civil society representatives, visited His Holiness Aram I. After he welcomed the guests, Catholicos Aram I spoke of the Armenian Genocide and the 100th Anniversary commemorations, and he thanked the Lebanese for welcoming the survivors.

The Minister thanked the Catholicos and the contribution of the Armenian community to their adopted homeland of Lebanon. He then expressed the wish that the international community would recognize the Armenian Genocide and compensate the descendants.

Before leaving, the Minister and his delegation went to the Martyrs Chapel to pay tribute to memory of the martyrs.
