25-26 March 2015, the members of the Board of the Christian Satellite Television in Arabic met in Izmir, Turkey. During the meeting, Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian spoke of the 100th anniversary commemoration of the Armenian Genocide and said that had there not been the deportation and Genocide, Armenians, Greeks and Syriacs would have populated this whole area. In response, the director of the TV channel informed the participants that three weeks ago an ecumenical commemorative service had been held in Istanbul to commemorate the victims and to remind Turkey that they should accept responsibility for the violent acts of their ancestors.
