“The Youth Pilgrimage to Der Zor was a significant response to His Holiness Aram I’s declaration 2009 YEAR OF ARMENIAN YOUTH.

2500 Youth walked from the outskirts of this desert

town to the Armenian Genocide Memorial, remembering the persecution, torture and rape of their grandparents.

The purpose of the current DVD is to share the story of those two days, and recall the memory of one and a half million Armenian martyrs”.

This DVD features the two public meetings and addresses of the spiritual leaders, and His Holiness Aram I’s official visits to the decasteries of the Vatican. It also includes a special ceremony, in which an altar of St. Bartholomew Church was dedicated to the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide. During the ceremony, His Holiness Aram I, donated a relic from the Martyr’s Chapel in Antelias, which was placed on the altar.
