Antelias – After a private meeting with Karekin II and Aram I, the President of Armenia, Serge Sarkissian, invited the two Catholicoi to attend the fourth session of the Nationwide Committee in Erevan.

In his message to the meeting, Catholios Aram I said that during the first session of the committee he had proposed that three concepts, “Remember, Remind and Demand” provide the framework for its work. He said that he was gratified that the participants had adopted a motto of the planning process that incorporated two of these concepts, “Remember and Demand.” He then continued, “At the end of commemorations we should continue demanding the rights of our people by adopting new strategies that respond to geopolitical changes.” His Holiness Aram I then added, “We should also use all internationally accepted means, such as, laws, conventions and treaties, in order to achieve justice for our people.

At the end of the meeting the two Catholicoi attended an official luncheon offered by the President.
