Thursday, 19 December 2013. Mr. Serop Ohanian, the director of the Howard Karagueuzian Foundation for the Middle East, met with His Holiness Aram I. The director briefed the Catholicos on the foundation’s humanitarian work with 1350 Armenian families from Syria who are currently registered at their Centre in Beirut.

His Holiness Aram I thanked Mr. Ohanian for the Foundation’s efforts and said that assisting Armenian families today and helping them to rebuild their lives after the conflict should become the priority for all Armenian organizations everywhere in the world.
