The representatives of the Armenian Orthodox Church attended the Oriental Orthodox and Anglican Bilateral Dialogue

3-7 October 2013, the second meeting of the Oriental Orthodox, Anglican bilateral dialogue was held in London. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, and Rev. Shahé Ananian represented the Catholicosate of Etchmiadzin, and Archibishop Nareg Alemezian and Bishop Shahé Panossian represented the Catholicosate of Cilicia.

 

Archbishop Nareg and Rev Jeffrey Raul co-chaired the meeting, which discussed the doctrine of Pneumatology and the joint statement on Christology of 2002.

 

On Saturday the participants went to the Coptic Orthodox Church in order to attend a special prayer service dedicated to the Middle East; on Sunday, they attended an Anglican Church Service and were the guests of the new Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, for lunch.

 

The next bilateral dialogue will be held 13-17 October 2014 in Cairo.
