On January 31st to February the 1st, 2020, an international ecumenical consultation with the theme “For a More Inclusive and Responsive Ecumenical Vision,” initiated by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, will convene at the Holy See of Cilicia. The aim of the consultation is to examine the current situation of the ecumenical movement in search for new ways and vision.
Two main presentations will be delivered by His Holiness, who has served two terms as Moderator of the World Council of Churches’ Central and Executive Committees (1991-2006), and Dr. Konrad Raiser, the former General Secretary of the WCC, as well as presentations from church and regional perspectives will be given by ecumenists coming from South Korea, Indonesia, India, Jordan, Kenia, Ghana, Burundi, Russia, Switzerland, Vatican, Sweden, Finland, Canada, the USA and Lebanon.
