On Thursday, November 28^th, 2019, His Holiness Aram I received a delegation from the Prelacy of Peria (Syria), headed by Bishop Masis Zoboyan. In attendance was also Hratch Hagopian, member of the Lay Council of the Central Executive Council of the Holy See of Cilicia

During the meeting, they discussed issues concerning Armenians of Syria, focusing on the conditions of the Armenian community in the light of the recent attacks in Northern Syria by Turkey, as well as the challenges and concerns of the community in Aleppo, Damascus, Qamishli, Kesab, Latakia. The Bishop and the delegation also briefed His Holiness on administrative, economic, social, constructional and other matters in the Prelacy.

The Catholicos commended their efforts and stressed the importance of revitalizing the Syrian Armenian Community.
