THE ARMENIAN PRELATE OF TEHRAN PARTICIPATES AT THE CHRISTIAN CONFERENCE OF ASIA REPRESENTING THE CATHOLICOSATE OF CILCIA

16th to 19th of July, 2019, the Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) held its annual executive committee meeting in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian participated at this meeting on behalf of the Catholicosate of Cilicia.

 

The meetings commenced with prayers and the moderator of CCA Archbishop Dr. Willem T.P Simarmata’s opening address. Consequently, Dr. Mathews George Chunakara, CCA’s General Secretary addressed the assembly and presented the annual report. He shed light on the ecumenical relations of CCA and the conferences held on subjects of ethics and the youth. This was followed by discussions and Q&A session.

 

After the session, Archbishop Sebouh extended to the assembly His Holiness’ greetings and good wishes.

 

During the three-day meeting, the executive committee arrived at several major decisions that included organizational/programme evaluation; theme and venue of CCA’s 15th General Assembly; CCA Headquarters building project; policies and guidelines to deal with Conflicts of Interests; Code of Conduct for Organisational Management and Governance; guidelines for processing new membership applications; a consensus model of decision making; and the staff rules and regulations.
