THE ARMENIAN PRAYER BOOK OF ST. GREGORY OF NAREK PLACED ON THE GRAVE OF KEVORK CHAVUSH ON BEHALF OF HIS HOLINESS ARAM I

On Thursday, June 6th, 2019, a group of Armenians, headed by the Chair of the Central Committee of the Catholicosate Stepan Der Bedrossian, visited the grave of the Armenian hero Kevork Chavush and paid their respect to his legacy. On this occasion, they placed the Armenian prayer book of St. Gregory of Narek on behalf of His Holiness Aram I on the grave, next to the Armenian flag.

Kevork Chavush was an Armenian fedayee (fedayye was an Armenian civilian who voluntarily left their families to form self-defense units in reaction to the Armenian massacres by Kurds and Turks). He is known for his heroism in the battles of “Srpots Arakelots Vank” (St. Arakelots Monastery) and Sulukh.
